The Hospital Policies at Midbay Veterinary Hospital


Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment only. We do reserve a few appointment slots each day for patients that need to be seen right away. However, emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. Emergencies consist of patients which are in respiratory distress, actively seizing, acute trauma or toxin exposure, etc. 

Drop-off Appointment Policy

For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet in the morning and leave him/her with us for a few hours. We ask you to 'drop off' before 9 AM so our doctor can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time set aside for drop off patient exams. If you bring your pet in after this time we cannot guarantee she/he will be examined that day. Once the doctor has looked over the patient; you will receive a call regarding treatment plans and any related discharge instructions. We make every effort to have examined all "drop-off" patients by noon. Drop off's can usually be picked up after 2pm unless the doctor directs otherwise.

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot make your scheduled appointment we request you provide us with 24 hours notice for cancellation so that we can open up your appointment slot for someone else to be able to come in. 

Vaccination Policy

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet either by leash or in a pet carrier. 

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, and personal checks. No business checks will be accepted.

Patient Arrival Policy

We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
